I've come to realise
That when I say things like
"I just want a girlfriend."
I'm just being infantile.

Now I've come to recognise
My want of a lover is stupidly generally,
Now you see, I don't want a girlfriend,
Not at all, what I seek is something more.

Someone to share an umbrella with
Because when we're together the clouds well up
And cry heavy stormy tears of joy and jealousy.

I don't want a girlfriend.
Girlfriends come and go,
I want something more permanent.
Soul-mate is a horrid cliche,
So maybe I'll call this fictitious woman
Mrs I'll meet you one day.
